The UMAX AstraCam 1000 goes everywhere you go. Its slim, lightweight design easily fits into a shirt pocket. The AstraCam 1000 is easy to use. There is nothing to focus, just point and shoot. Select from four available settings to optimize the camera for the current lighting conditions. With UMAX' After Shot Recovery (ASR) technology, no matter what setting is selected, with a click of a button the pictures can be adjusted for optimum white balance.
The AstraCam 1000 features "Plug and Play" USB connectivity to Windows 98 and Windows ME PCs. A built-in download button allows for fast, single-touch downloading of images. Simply press a button and the images will quickly upload to your computer.
The AstraCam 1000 also features 4 MB internal memory, and can store up to 72 images in economy (EQ) mode and 45 images in high quality (HQ) mode. The AstraCam 1000 uses a 640 x 480 CCD sensor and a high quality glass lens, providing sharp, clear pictures ideal for Emailing or for use on the web. When larger images are needed, use the included AstraCam software to get pictures up to 1280 x 960 pixels.

· Adobe(R) PhotoDeluxe Home Edition: [version 3.0], it's easy to bring photos into your computer, organize them in albums, and make repairs and improvements. Then you can have endless fun creating personalized photo projects to share with family and friends in print, via Email, or on the web. PhotoDeluxe comes to you from the makers of Adobe Photoshop(R), the industry-standard image-editing tool for professional designers.
· NewSoft Mr. Photo: previews and organizes all of your valuable photos on your hard disk. You can sort photos by date and title, or search by keyword, date, and other image properties. Then drag-and-drop photos to the Application Bar to create photo masterpieces using ready-made templates or design electronic photo albums. Click the Slide Show icon to view the selected photos, or drag-and-drop a photo to the Email icon to send it to family and friends.
· VistaShuttle: makes it easy to create electronic greeting cards that you include your photo and email to friends and family. Also use VistaShuttle and your pictures to make flyers, calendars, printable greeting cards, wallpaper and screen savers.
· AstraCam 1000 Driver: seamlessly integrates the AstraCam 1000 one-touch uploading with the Mr. Photo software. By pressing the download button on the camera, the AstraCam 1000 driver works transparently, behind the scenes, launching the Mr. Photo software and dropping the images in Mr. Photo as thumbnails. With the included Adobe PhotoDeluxe or other TWAIN compliant application software you can acquire the images with the AstraCam 1000 "TWAIN" driver.
