Panasonic, the first company to offer a portable DVD player with an LCD (liquid crystal display), continues the tradition with the DVD-LV55. This model has a 5-inch LCD. It also comes with a rechargeable battery pack, which lasts for fours hours and can be charged in the unit, so all you have to do is plug it into the outlet.
Other features of the DVD-LV55 include high-speed scan, virtual surround sound, a Cinema mode (which will provide a softer, more film-like picture) and a dialog enhancer, which boosts the output of the center channel when you're listening through a surround sound system.
Also supplied with this player are a remote control, audio and video cables and, for all you travelers, a multi-voltage AC adapter.
